Cyclist knee injury

Within the sport injury aspect of our jobs, knee pain forms a high element. When presenting with knee pain, we are looking at all aspects of the cyclist: cleats, bike, body, accidents and recovery. We work with a few bike fitting outfits where the fitters are not only an ex-pro cyclists, but have studied sports science. Where our skills stop, they step in.

One of our most interesting case studies came from a client who walked into our treatment room with an injured leg one third of the size of his health leg (one of the things we forgot to do was take some photos). After 2 years of physio, surgery, physio and then advice to rest, the problem had not resolved. Keen to get back to riding, we were able to get our injured cyclist back on the bike within 4 months. A detailed account is available in the PDF file, attached below, but I must warn you it's a long read.
