Sports Massage Zone - Peta McSharry
While we wait for summer to kick in, many of our sports massage clients are still getting out and staying active, though mostly wrapped up like it is still winter. The running season is in full swing and many of our clients are in for sports massage or myofascial treatments for running ailments. We’ve also seen some our out far-flung clients drop into the Moorgate sports massage clinic to get a treatment from Peta McSharry. Always a joy to welcome back clients who no longer live in London.
Peta does something called “Structural Integration”, she looks at the body as a structural engineer looks at a building and identifies where the stresses and strains of an out of balance body add load resulting in pain and identifies how to remove the affecting load. Tammy who is new to the clinic and passed her level 5 qualification (the highest in the industry) brings a good strong treatment to the clinic. As an endurance cyclist, Peta makes full use of Tammy’s services when the clinic is quiet and is back from riding the length of Wales from Bangor to Cardiff (310Km) on road and gravel over two days with 7,000m of climbing.
This month sees us help a variety of people, mostly from our local area: Moorgate, Bank, Old Steet, Spiltalfields, London Bridge, Farringdon, St Pauls and Cannon Street. But we have also had clients from Camden, Brazil, France and Switzerland in the clinic this month. Some have come via recommendations to see Peta McSharry and others have been looking for a resolution to a problem they’ve not been able to resolve elsewhere. Read about some of the interesting cases we've worked on this month.
